The Roller Mills String Band may be best described as a bluegrass band, except we have substituted the banjo with a hammered dulcimer. We play at an extreme high energy (Kentucky Thunder speed), with some of the most powerful bluegrass pickers in Southeastern Wisconsin.

We are Philadelphia's Run of the Mill String Band, an old-time Appalachian string band preserving and performing traditional American music. Fiddle, banjo, guitar and upright bass comprise the usual configuration of the band, but sometimes we mix it up with two fiddles, fretless banjo, mandolin, banjo-mandolin, steel-guitar, banjo-guitar, archtop guitar, and upright bass.
